THREE fire crews attended the scene after a car crashed into a pub yesterday afternoon.
The Chipping Norton crew was joined by colleagues from Hook Norton and Kidlington after a car crashed into a wall of The Greedy Goose, near Chipping Norton.
Watch manager Dave Cuthbert said: “On arrival, I quickly established that no-one was trapped so while our colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service cared for the driver, the crews set about making the scene safe and supporting the structure of the building using Acrow props.”
A spokesperson for SCAS said the driver was not injured and after a quick assessment from the ambulance crew, was discharged at the scene.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue issued a safety message to residents, pleading to adjust to the driving conditions, whether it’s frosty and icy, foggy or there’s heavy rain, and to slow down and give time to react.
The message also urged people to fully demist windows and leave plenty of space between the car in front.
