FIRE crews scrambled to a chimney in flames at a house in a South Oxfordshire village.
Firefighters from Wallingford fire station were called to reports of the blaze in Warborough on Thursday evening.

On arrival, the chimney was 'well alight' and after the crew attempted to extinguish it themselves, they needed the help of an aerial appliance from Rewley Road Oxford fire station to tackle the fire from above.
Once it was extinguished the crew also fitted two new smoke alarms into the property and gave some fire safety advice to the residents.
