FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a trapped driver from a car after a 'serious' head-on crash.
Yesterday evening crews from Oxford stations Slade Park and Rewley Road raced to the B480 between Cuxham and Chalgrove.
One of the drivers in the crash was left with minor injuries and had managed to escape safely.
But the other driver had to be taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service paramedics after being cut free by firefighters using hydraulic equipment.
Taking to Facebook, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue warned motorists to take 'extra care' in winter, saying: "Although the cause of this incident is still under investigation, we would like to remind drivers to take extra during the winter conditions.
"Please see http://www.365alive.co.uk/cms/content/safe-journey for lots of information on safe winter travel."
