POLICE have warned about a new Apple scam.
Scammers are sending emails out of the blue pretending to be from the technology giant.
In one email a resident was asked to pay an invoice for $27.
They were told if they wanted to cancel it they had one day to click on the ‘cancel and manage subscription’ button which then asks users for an email and password to sign in.
In a Thames Valley Police online alert the force warned: “It was obviously not from Apple.”
- In an emergency always call 999
- In a non-emergency call 101
- If you got a scam email that you're not sure about, forward it to Report@phishing.gov.uk
