A CASH reward has been offered to help catch whoever was responsible for 'horrific cruelty' on a fox in South Oxfordshire.
The wounded animal was spotted in Caldecott, Abingdon, last week with a trap stuck round its leg.
Oxfordshire Wildlife Rescue were called and the team recovered the fox after search and rescue efforts.
However, after a consultation with a vet, the animal had to be put down because of the extent of its injuries.

Now, one member of the wiildlife rescue non-profit is offering a reward for information leading to uncovering the identity of the 'disgraceful' person, who committed the 'barbaric' criminal act.
More than £300 has already been raised in just a day after a GoFundMe page was created on Monday.
The money donated will be given to the person who helps the charity find the person responsible for setting up the illegal trap that led to the fox's untimely demise.
