TRIBUTES have flooded in for a serving Thames Valley Police officer who was found dead.
The force has confirmed that an off-duty officer died yesterday.
In a statement, it said: "The investigation is being treated as an unexplained and non-suspicious death, and a file will be passed to the coroner.
"The thoughts of everyone in the force are with the officer's family, friends and close colleagues at this very sad time."
It is understood the police officer, who is being named as 'G', was based in Oxfordshire.
Last night the Thames Valley Police Federation broke the news on social media.
We have suffered the devastating loss of a colleague today. We are not releasing any more details - our thoughts are with family, friends and close colleagues at this time. What we can say is it’s ok to not be ok. Please talk to someone if you need to. https://t.co/58HPQlKHDn pic.twitter.com/7mIsdIpglN

Thousands of people paid their condolences with officers based in Oxfordshire sharing tributes and changing their pictures to the thin blue line.
Sara Buck said: "A wonderful man with amazing style, and an eye for photography. I will remember the days at BA fondly. May you RIP."
Great advice. And as Russ says we wear a uniform not a force field. They’re just clothes. Look after yourself #itsokaynottobeokay https://t.co/4p3Js4BZSk
