A WATER main burst in an already flooded area on Christmas Day.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue crews from Kidlington dealt with even more flooding just before 11pm on Christmas Day night after a six-inch water main burst.
Several properties in Islip near to the river were protected by crews pumping the excess water away safely while colleagues from Thames Water worked to isolate the pipe and carry out repairs overnight.

The properties already had flood plans and defences which were deployed before fire crews arrived meaning that together their properties were protected.
