A burglar was chased out of a house and fell headfirst into a row of bushes.
The man was disturbed while in the middle of burgling a home in Manston Close, Bicester, last Wednesday, police said today.
The homeowner chased the burglar from the kitchen and he climbed over a fence and fell head first into some bushes before fleeing in the direction of Launton Road.
Pc Mike West said: "While escaping, this man climbed over a fence and fell head first into a bush at the side of the garden. Due to the nature of the undergrowth, it is highly likely he will have suffered cuts and scratches to his face and hands.
"Did you witness this crime take place or see something suspicious in the area; or do you know a man who has sustained these sorts of injuries in the last week or so?
"We had another attempted burglary reported the following day in the same area and I am very keen to find this man."
The burglar is described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, medium build, with had short brown hair and a slight moustache.
He was wearing a blue anorak and jeans.
