POLICE today made a third appeal for witnesses after a woman was killed in a crash on the A40 near Wheatley.
At about 11pm on November 20, a gold-coloured Fiat Punto and a green Peugeot 106 collided on the A40 westbound towards Oxford after the Wheatley Services junction.
The driver of the Punto, Victoria McBryde, 24, from Horton, Northamptonshire, was declared dead at the scene.
Sgt Bill Sykes from Abingdon Roads Policing Unit said: "A 20-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and interviewed.
"She has been released on police bail to return at the end of January.
"It is really important that we speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw any of the vehicles prior to the collision, particularly the broken down gold Fiat Punto (which could also be described as yellow).
"There were drivers in the area at the time of the collision who could be invaluable to our enquiries and hold essential information.
"We really need to speak to anyone who may have any information, however insignificant they think it might be."
Sgt Sykes can be contacted via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
