There were reports earlier this week people an error meant people could make an appointment at the Churchill Hospital through a link being shared.

On Wednesday, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) said this had been changed but as of yesterday a working link was still being shared online.

Oxford Mail:

David Walliker, chief digital officer at OUH said: “While I am pleased that so many people are keen to get their vaccination, I would remind people not to share booking appointments sent to them.

"The NHS has been very clear that we will be in touch with you directly when it is your turn.

"We have a clear prioritisation order that was set nationally in which we vaccinate people."

He added thanks to those who realised they were booking 'out of turn' and cancelled their appointments, freeing them up for the priority groups which include over 80s, care home residents and worker, NHS staff who are at high-risk or frontline worker who have been identified by their hospital trust.

Mr Walliker said: "Please do not waste a clinic slot and your time by booking an appointment if you are not in one of these groups.

"We will not vaccinate you.”
