OXFORD is one of the most expensive places for a last-minute staycation this winter.
According to MyJobQuote.co.uk there have been 17,000 searches for getaways this month alone.

So to find the cheapest city to stay in, bosses at the website scoured Airbnb listings between December 23 and 27 for families in Tier 1 and 2 cities.
Oxford was the fifth most expensive on a list of 20 places in the county, with an average nightly price of £230 based on 193 available listings.
The cheapest places to go to are:
- Aberdeen with an average nightly price of £123
- Chelmsford with an average nightly price of £167
- St Albans with an average nightly price of £175

The most expensive place was Gloucester with around 250 Airbnb listings averaging at £322 a night over the festive season.
It was followed by Brighton, Bath and then London – which moved into Tier 2 on Monday.
