Joe Palmer won a last-set decider to give Hundred Acres a thrilling 5-4 win at home to White Lion.
Dave Latty and Alan Butler had taken the first two sets for the hosts only for Kit Young and Olly Varney to level the match.
Terry Browne and Andy Douglas restored Hundred Acres' two-set advantage. Once again White Lion levelled with Keith Bedding and John Fowler on target, but Palmer had the last word.
Chinnor stay top going into the Christmas break after an 8-1 demolition of Three Tuns B.
Peter Rouse set the hosts on their way with a 3-0 win, before Roy Pryor, Mark Laverack and Alan Syphas stretched their lead.
Mark Stocker pulled one back for Three Tuns, but Chinnor took the last four sets through Paul Farnes, Gary Price, Tony Leone and Jon Jukes.
Three Tuns A fared much better at home to Shelley with a comprehensive 7-2 win.
Peter Fisher finished with a 109 checkout to take the first set 3-2 for the hosts, and Ronnie Anderson missed out on the magical 30 average by just one dart as he won his set 3-0.
Ray Pape got Shelley off the mark, but Roger Haines, Pete Newman and Phil Addison sealed the win.
Simon Powell posted Shelley's second set with a 3-2 win, before Dave Essex and Nigel Russell wrapped up Three Tuns' victory in style.
Shears kept up their challenge with a 7-2 win at home to Masons.
Kevin Barefoot won the first set, and then Mark Ord shattered Ade Larner's unbeaten record.
Phil Busby got the visitors back in the match with a 3-0 success, but Martin Turnbull and Kevin Wilkins added further sets for the hosts.
Bob Godwin gave Masons a glimmer of hope, but Simon Davison, Preben Krabben and Dave Exell sewed up the points for Shears.
Shelswell lost out 5-4 at home to Goodlake. Jimmy Pryde, Mark Pryde, Bob Cook, Andy Povey and Brian Johnson starred for Goodlake with Barry Harris and Steve Coles, Simon Tricker and Tim Tricker replying.
