A teenage photographer has won a contest to find the best picture of this year's flooding.
More than 200 pictures were entered in the Oxfordshire Floodscape competition, but Matthew Jellings, 17, of Manor Road in Witney, snapped up the £150 top prize.
The July floods, which swamped homes and roads across the county for more than a week, provided a unique backdrop for amateur photographers.
Their photographs show water rescues in full swing, youngsters playing in the flooded streets, and the scale of the damage caused by the floodwater.
Many of the best will be put on public display in the new year to draw attention to issues of flooding and climate change.
The winning photo, taken in Minster Lovell at the peak of the flooding, shows waiters and waitresses rescuing a trolley of plates and glasses from The Swan pub.
Matthew said: "I cycled down to Minster through the floods, but it was definitely worth the effort. I was really pleased to win."
It is not the first time that Matthew has had his work recognised.
He frequently exhibits with the Witney Photographic Club and at the Mellor Galley on Witney's Church Green. His speciality is nature photography.
The Oxfordshire Floodscape photo competition was organised by Science Oxford, a charitable trust based in St Clement's Street, Oxford.
Dominic McDonald, head of public programmes at Science Oxford, said: "We were unsure what sort of entries we would receive. But we have been delighted with the response, both in terms of quantity and quality."
