Oxfordshire Youth let slip an 8-4 lead to go down to a 9-8 defeat against leaders Berkshire at the Lord Nuffield, Cowley.
Oxon were on course for victory only for their under 21 men's team to be thumped 5-0 as Berkshire scraped home.
Oxfordshire had started well with the under 18s maintaining their unbeaten start to the season with a 6-3 win.
Oliver Highton, Shane Cooper, Kevin Smith, Lewis Blower, Grant Tizzard and man-of-the-match Mark Burns were on target for Oxon.
Dean Lockyer, with a 19.49 one-dart average, and Tom Baughan (20.93) were unlucky not to add to Oxon's tally.
The under 21 ladies also kept up their unbeaten run with a 2-1 victory.
Gemma Dumper and Nicola Slay provided their wins.
