A multi-faith celebration attracted more than 200 people from across Oxford at the weekend.
Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Jews and Christians gathered at Cheney School in Headington for the celebration of light and faith, organised by the Indian Union in Oxford.
Lord Mayor John Tanner was invited to the event on Saturday night, which featured hymns, prayers, poems, dances and the lighting of candles.
Organiser Davinder Gill said: "It was a very successful, colourful event for people from different faiths to join together and celebrate Diwali, Christmas, Hannukah and Eid.
"There was a very good gathering with about 210 people attending. Candles were lit and there was a meal after the programme - it was a great success."
