A WOMAN in her 70s has died after a horror crash on the A418.
She was driving a grey Fiat Punto in the direction of Tiddington at around 5pm last Monday (December 7) when she crashed with a yellow Mini driving in the opposite direction on Thame Road.
At the time she was left with ‘serious injuries’ fighting for her life at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
But now police have confirmed that despite the ‘best efforts from medical professionals’ she has passed away.
The driver of the Mini was left with minor injuries and has since been discharged from hospital.
No arrests have been made.
The investigating officer, PC Sarah Davies, from the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “First and foremost our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has sadly died as a result of the collision.
“They are being supported by specially trained officers.
“I am appealing again for any witnesses to this collision, or to anybody who may have information about what happened to please contact us.
“I am again appealing to any motorists who were on the A418 at around 5pm last Monday to please check any dash-cam footage you may have, in case it has captured either vehicle or something that could assist this investigation.”
