A MASTERCHEF contestant from Oxfordshire is through to the final.
Dave Wells, who used to run the Fat Frog restaurant in Aston Tirrold near Didcot, was one of four semi-finalists in last night’s show.
The chefs experienced demonstrations by respected Michelin-starred chef Andrew Wong.
They then had one hour and 30 minutes to produce two dishes and present them to Mr Wong and the three judges, for them to taste and critique.

One chef was rewarded with a pass straight through to finals week.
The three remaining chefs, which included Mr Wells, then had 90 minutes to create a two-course signature menu ‘of an exceptional standard’.
Speaking at the end of last night’s show, Mr Wells said: “I feel fantastic, whatever happens next, happens.”
Mr Wells, who grew up in Surrey, has been sworn to secrecy about how he fared in the competition after beginning filming for the show in August.
The finals begin next week.
