ON THE first day after Covid-19 vaccinations were rolled out in Oxford, huge queues waited to get into the city.
The typical morning rush hour went on into the day, with cars still queuing after 11.30am.
Congested traffic into the city stretched all the way along Botley Road, and onto West Way and past the Seacourt Bridge pub.

Roadworks in Botley Road added to the delays and frustrations of drivers, while motorists were advised to use the Seacourt Park & Ride.
The queues also had an impact on bus services with the Oxford Bus Company reporting delays of up to 20 minutes.
Due to the ongoing roadworks on Botley Road we are currently experiencing delays of up to 20 minutes on 400 Park and Ride and City4 services.

Although traffic leaving the city was less packed, many drivers still found themselves stuck at the Botley Road roadworks.
