A SHOPPER was trapped in a broken lift at the Westgate Centre.
Emergency services were called to the shopping centre at about 6pm last night.
Firefighters used their equipment to make the rescue and free the person who had been stuck inside the lift.

An armed police car and ambulance were also at the scene.
When asked, South Central Ambulance Service said there had been a 'medical emergency' at the Westgate.
It is not known which lift the person was stuck in.
