Christmas is finally upon us which means it's time to wrap up warm and enjoy some festive family fun.
Whether you want to visit Santa or check out some jaw-dropping Christmas lights, there really is something for everyone in the county this year.
Here are five of the best events taking place this Christmas in Oxfordshire:
Santa's Grotto
Where: Oxford Castle and Prison
Price: £17.95 per child, £15.95 per adult and £6.95 for a child under two.
Dates and times: Between December 12 and 23, 10am, 11.30am and 1.30pm.
This magical Christmas experience is a right of passage for every child and this year is no different.
During this one hour experience you will be welcomed to the 'South Pole' by Castle Elves and each family will be taken individually to the 'North Pole' to meet Santa in his grotto.
During your time with Santa each child will get to listen to a Christmas story told by the man himself, receive a photo and sing a Christmas carol.
Each child will be given a festival bag containing snacks, a toy and a 'nice list' certificate. Children will also get to take home a Christmas ornament they have decorated.

Elf Fairy Door Trail
Where: East Challow
Price: Donation to St Nicholas School
Dates: Between December 5 and 14.
The residents of East Challow have taken part in a festive fundraiser for the village school.
Hidden around the village are elf and fairy doors that you have to go and find, there is a trail map available on the Just Giving page.
Steam Into Christmas at Didcot Railway Centre

Dates: Between December 5 and 23
Take a steam train ride to visit Father Christmas in his special gift-laiden carriage in the marvellously decorated Victorian station.
There are complimentary seasonal refreshments to enjoy as your explore the original 1932 GWR Engine Shed.
You can see more restored locomotives, see onto the footplate of some and meet Eddie the Engine Driver who will be telling festive tales of the railways at Christmas time.
Father Christmas has a gift for every child and there is a second steam train to take visitors on an epic festive journey.

Illuminated Lights Trail and Christmas at Blenheim Palace

Dates: Between December 4 and January 3.
Blenheim Palace's iconic illuminations are back for another year.
Whether you're a veteran and go each year or you've never seen them before - they are a sight that cannot be missed.
The Palace has also decorated its state rooms for visitors to explore.
Tickets must be pre-booked for both events.
Christmas Fairytale

Price: £12.99 per child (includes gift), £5.99 for children under two and £7.25 for adults.
Dates: Between December 5 to 24.
The Christmas Fairytale events take you on a journey from the South Pole to the North Pole visiting a fairy castle along the way.
You can meet Father Christmas, who will give each child a gift and go on a festive hunt as well as visit the international elf post sorting station.
There are wonderful Christmas lights and even mulled wine and minced pies for the adults.
