A popular gym at the Ozone Leisure Park in Oxford appears to have closed for good.
Park Club Oxford in Grenoble Road, opposite the Kassam Stadium, has sent an email to its members telling them that it will not be reopening.
The gym was opened by Soll Leisure in 2018. Its website says: “Closed 5th November - 2nd December due to current national lockdown.”
But an email to members has indicated that the closure is now permanent.
It says: “It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that Park Club Oxford will not reopen following this recent lockdown.

“Due to the impact of Covid-19 and the closure of gyms during the two national lockdowns it has made it impossible for us to continue.
We have loved the three years that we have been at the club, serving the health and fitness needs of the local community.
“You have been fantastic members and we are going to miss you all greatly.”
The email added that for all members who paid by direct debit in November, this will be refunded and will take approximately 28 days.

This may be impacted by the Christmas holiday period but the club will "endeavour to process this as quickly as possible."
The Park Club at Milton Park near Didcot will continue to operate.
Anyone interested in transferring their membership to this club, should email memberships@parkclub.co.uk to discuss the options available.
