A prickly competition is planned for villagers in Harwell who will be showcasing Christmas trees adorned with hand crafted decorations, in a bid to win public votes.
Little Pippins Christmas Tree Fair will be held on Saturday, December 15, and all proceeds will go to the Little Pippins Pre-School New Building Fund. A Best in Show trophy will be presented to the village organisation with the most votes.
Festivities starts at 2pm in the Village Hall and Freeman Hall and there will be live music from the Harwell Young Singers and the Baggs Tree Buskers. Santa will ride through the village on his sleigh and children will be able to paint their own reindeer plate.
Jane Moreton, of Little Pippins committee, said: "Christmas is a magical time for children and grown-ups, and our first Little Pippins Christmas Tree Fair will add to the excitement. The whole day promises to be a brilliant event."
