FEWER than 100 people in Oxfordshire have tested positive for coronavirus in the latest daily update.
The latest coronavirus cases on Wednesday:
• Oxford – 39
• Oxfordshire – 99
• South East – 2,364
• England – 15,893
This brings the total number of people who have tested positive to:
• Oxford – 3,208
• Oxfordshire – 9,958
• South East – 125,508
• England – 1,340,635
A total of 696 people died in the United Kingdom after 28 days of a positive test result yesterday.
But there were no new deaths in the county.
Two have been confirmed this week – one in Oxford and one in South Oxfordshire, as reported on Tuesday.
NHS data revealed there were no new coronavirus deaths at Oxfordshire hospitals so the two people either passed away at their home or care home.
This keeps the total number of people who have died after 28 days of a positive test to:
• Oxford – 42
• Oxfordshire – 309
• South East – 5,816
• England – 49,545
Other data reveals the number of people at hospitals in the South East with coronavirus.
As it is, there are 111 patients on ventilation and 1,230 people in hospital with the virus.
The latest R number is estimated at 1 to 1.1 with a daily infection growth rate range of 0per cent to +2per cent as of 20 November 2020.
