AN OXFORD secondary school has reported another case of coronavirus.
In a letter to all parents of children in years 7, 10, 11, 12 and 13, the headteacher of The Oxford Academy, on Sandy Lane West, said that there had been a positive Covid-19 case in the ‘school community’.
The ‘small number’ of pupils who have been in close contact with the unnamed person have already been contacted and told to self-isolate.

Mrs Ward explained: “We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.
“This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most people coronavirus (Covid-19) will just be a mild illness.”
