We can only assume that councillors have never visited Cogges Farm Museum or we are sure they would not consider supporting this motion.
Our family have been regular visitors to the museum since moving into Witney five years ago, as have many of our friends and acquaintances.
It is a wonderful place to take young children to give them their first experience of farm animals and machinery and a sense of their local history.
The facilities are exceptional and the staff are always welcoming and knowledgeable.
The craft activities for the children are exceptional and the walk through the orchard and round the fields provides peace and tranquillity in these frenetic times. We ask councillors not to support this motion as the impact on the local community will be devastating.
The children who already go to the farm several times a week are distraught at the thought of its closure and the children who are just starting to understand what it is all about will miss out greatly.
