Bampton is to get an improved sewer network in the wake of the summer floods.
Thames Water is undertaking to improve parts of the network in the village and, subject to detailed designs and funding approval, plans to start work early next year.
Bampton Parish Council has been closely involved in negotiations to make improvements since the sewerage system was overwhelmed in July. It wants sections improved in New Road, Southby, Calais Dene and The Pieces, where homes have historically been flooded by foul water.
