Dorothy Cox likes anything to do with the royal family, so she cherishes her card from the Queen.
It took pride of place among all the other cards and flowers she received for her 100th birthday at her Stanton Harcourt home on Sunday.
Her daughter Janet Culley now looks after her and said she was in good health, despite her age.
"It looks like a florist's shop in here, we've had so many well wishes and celebrations come for mum," she said.
Mrs Cox has lived in west Oxfordshire all her life, being born in Standlake and moving to Eynsham. Her husband John died when he was 71.
She shares longevity with her sister Ellen Kitchener, from Botley, who is 99 and was among a large gathering of relatives, friends and villagers joining her for her centenary celebration.
Mrs Cox has one daughter, three grandaughters, five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She is a devoted member of the Anglican Church and, when she lived in Eynsham, helped with the production of the St Leonard's church magazine, and was also a Red Cross volunteer.
