A TRIAL into an alleged murder in Didcot has been delayed for at least a week after it was revealed the accused are all now isolating in prison.
Last week the case of the alleged knifing of Darren MacCormick was halted after a barrister tested positive for Covid-19.
Today at Oxford Crown Court the jury - who have since all tested negative for the disease - were again sent home.
Presiding Judge Ian Pringle QC told the jury that the three men on trial were all now having to isolate in prison and were therefore unable to attend their own trial.
He said: "The defendants were taken back into custody and they have not been tested for [Covid-19].
"Because the general rule is if you are not showing symptoms you have no right to have a test.
"They have been isolated by the prison and have not had any communications with their legal teams at all, which is far from satisfactory."
The jury were sent home and told the trial is expected to continue from next week, but no date was agreed.
The court is expected to determine which day to resume the case on Friday.
Isaac Boyland, Brookton Lagan, and Taison Cyrille, all deny murdering Darren MacCormick.
