CAR THIEVES might also be responsible for a spree of break ins this week.
At around 5.15am yesterday (5/11) a dark grey Skoda Kodiaq SUV was stolen from a driveway on The Limes, Dorchester-on-Thames.
The thugs broke into the house through the front door and then stole the car keys from the hallway before making an escape for freedom in the motor.
Now investigators are linking the crime to similar incidents in the area on Wednesday.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Daniel Tibble, based at Abingdon police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.
“I believe this incident is linked to two similar incidents in the same area, one which occurred overnight on Wednesday 4 November where a Honda Jazz car was stolen from a property in Bridge End and the second a series of attempted garage breaks in Herringcote on the same night.
