These had been the first at OUH since the beginning of July.
NHS England figures released last week showed there were 25 patients with Covid at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the John Radcliffe, as of 8am on Tuesday.
This is up from 16 at the same time last week.
No patient was on ventilation as of Tuesday morning, compared with one last week.
It comes as Boris Johnson at a press conference on Saturday announced a second national lockdown.
He said: "We have got to be humble in the face of nature.
"In this country, alas as across most of Europe, the virus is spreading even faster than the reasonable worst case scenario of our scientific advisors."
The latest death at the Oxfordshire trust brings the official Covid death toll there to 187 since the pandemic began.
