ROCK-throwing vandals have attacked schools, buses and cars in Chipping Norton.
Overnight between Monday and Tuesday, large stones were thrown through two windows and a glass-panelled door at Holy Trinity School.
Two cars were also damaged in Cooper's Square between 8pm and 8.30pm when they had rocks thrown at them.
The school was targeted again last night at about 8pm when further windows and doors were smashed. This immediately followed four buses being attacked while parked on the old Parker Knoll site. Windows were smashed and fire extinguishers let off.
Police attended the scene following calls from local residents and later a 17-year-old youth was arrested in connection with the damage to the buses and Holy Trinity School and released on bail pending further investigations.
Officers are connecting these incidents, along with criminal damage that occurred at Chipping Norton School overnight between Friday and Saturday when a portable building was broken into and had its windows smashed.
Chipping Norton Neighbourhood Sgt Rosemary Dilsaver said: "This mindless behaviour has caused great distress to the staff and children of Holy Trinity.
"If you saw a group of youths behaving suspiciously in the London Road area any evening this week, please get in touch and tell us what you saw.
"We are determined to catch and punish whoever is behind these crimes."
