AN empty building which used to house Headington's post office could become a chicken shop.
Plans to change the use of the shop at 142 London Road, which was until recently a vape shop called Oxford Vapors, have been submitted to Oxford City Council.
The application by Mr S Raveendrakumar asks permission to change the use of the building into a restaurant or takeaway and also to install and extractor fan in the building.
Mr Raveendrakumar wants the building to be reopened as a chicken shop, according to a statement attached to the planning application.
The statement added that as many as five people could be employed in the new takeaway and that usual business hours would be between 11am and 12 midnight.

At the time of writing, one nearby resident, a Dr Xiangqian Liu from a nearby block of flats on London Road, has written to object to the plans.
Dr Liu said there would be too much noise and smell caused by the extractor fan.
The London Road post office closed its doors for the last time in 2016 and was then reopened up the road in the Co-op supermarket.
