A NEW supermarket with an in-store bakery and electric vehicle rapid charging spaces is set to open its doors.
Lidl confirmed its new store in New Close Lane in Witney will open on November 5 at 8am, with the existing store in Ducklington Lane set to close on November 4 at 6pm.
Fifteen additional jobs have been created, while all existing employees were retained.
Lidl GB’s regional head of property, Rachel Hargreaves, said: “It is great for us to be able to invest into the area and redevelop this key site whilst providing a new store to our customers that meets all their needs.”

Lidl’s Feed it Back scheme will see the new store provide surplus food and customer donations to Witney Day Centre, with the food used to provide meals for the elderly.
The store will also have baby changing facilities and more parking for cars and bikes.
Its opening times will be between 8am and 10pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
