AFTER recently closing its doors for a major refurbishment project, art displays have appeared in windows at The Randolph Hotel.
The closure saw 75 out of 84 staff made redundant, however general manager Philip Lewis said arrangements for the window art were made ‘way before’ the six-month closure was discussed.
He added: “It was a bit of hard work to get it up and running but the results are great.

“This all came about way before the closure and redundancies were discussed so it’s not a response to that.
“It’s so important we do the refurbishment for the benefit of the property.”
The Randolph, which was bought by American chain Graduate Hotels last year, has worked with Fusion Arts, an east Oxford arts organisation, to allow six artists to showcase their work in Friars Entry.
Mr Lewis added: “Graduate Hotels in America work closely with their local communities so there’ll be more like this to come – we want to do right by the people of Oxford.”
