CASES of coronavirus have continued to rise in the county with more than 100 new positive tests reported in a day.
According to Public Health England, as of 9am, these are the number of new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours;
- Oxford - 16
- Oxfordshire - 107
- UK - 21,242

The total coronavirus cases since the pandemic started;
- Oxford - 1,872
- Oxfordshire - 5,859
- UK - 810,467
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
The health body is including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or Public Health England laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.
Across the UK a further 189 people were reported to have died within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test.
It takes the confirmed UK death toll to 44,347.

There were also 152 further deaths in England's hospitals announced yesterday by NHS England.
The first death in more than three months was reported at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH), this week taking the trust's overall death toll to 183.
Globally, there have now been more than 41 million confirmed cases of Covid-19, with the death toll 1.1 million.
The UK is 11th highest for cases and fifth for deaths.
