A pensioner was knocked off his bike suffering serious injuries.
The 80-year-old man was cycling along Ploughley Road, in Ambrosden, near Bicester, when he collided with a grey Nissan Almera at the junction with Merton Road at about 3.50pm yesterday.
He was taken to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries to his head and hip.
Sgt Bryan Smith at Bicester Roads Policing said: "We are keen to speak to any witnesses who may have seen the collision itself or the movements of the cyclist and the grey Nissan prior to the incident."
