OXFORD MAGISTRATES’

PAUL VINCENT SCANLAN, 55, of Warnborough Road, Oxford, was convicted of leaving a place he was living without reasonable excuse during the emergency period breaching Covid 19 regulations on April 29. He was fined £120 and must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.

STEPHEN NICHOLAS BEARD, 42, of Middleton Road, Banbury, admitted drink driving on August 7 in Banbury. Had 55mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £120 and must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 14 months.

Mark GILL, 41, of Rymers Lane, Oxford, admitted assaulting a woman in Oxford on May 30 and harassment between June and July 2020. He was made subject to a community order to include participation in an accredited programme for 24 days and rehabilitation activity requirement for 25 days. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £310.

DANIEL TIMBRELL, 31, of Moley Gardens, Wantage, admitted driving while disqualified and without third party insurance on February 4 in Wantage. He was made subject to a community order to include 80 hours of unpaid work and he must pay a victim surcharge of £90 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

FIONA GAUGHAN, 34, of Fletcher Road, Oxford, admitted drink driving on August 7 in Oxford. Had 141mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. She was made subject to a community order to include 150 hours of unpaid work and she must pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85 and she was disqualified from driving for 36 months.

Matthew JAMES MARSDEN SMITH, 26, Roman Way, Bicester, admitted driving with a Delta- 9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood on February 22 and with Benzoylecgonine on April 18 in Bicester. Also admitted possession of cannabis. He was fined £120 for each offence and must pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Craig Jack Chapman WHITE, 35, of Ruskin Walk, Bicester, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis at Abingdon Police Station on August 7. He was fined £120, must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

ALEXANDER JOSEPH GREENALL, 31, of Divinity Road, Oxford, admitted drug driving with Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannibol in his blood on May 12 in Oxford. He was given a conditional discharge for two years and must pay a victim surcharge of £22 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

LEIGHTON BROUGHTON, 19, of Weald Street, Bampton, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence on July 10 in Banbury and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress in the Horton General Hospital, Banbury on July 11. He was made subject to a community order to include programme participation requirement for 30 days and 80 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85.

TECIL CHANDY, 43, of Colterne Close, Oxford, admitted drink-driving on August 8 at Colterne Close, Oxford. He had 57mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mcg. He was fined £300, ordered to ay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.

KALLUM HASSAM, 22, of Mckeevor Place, Banbury, admitted using threatening or insulting words to cause fear or violence to a police officer on July 29 at Oxford Road. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.

LUKE O'SHEA, 30, of Furlong Estate, Drayton, admitted breaching a restraining order between February 6 and June 5 in Abingdon by texting somebody he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order made by Oxford Magistrates' Court on February 6. He also admitted failing without a resonable cause to surrender to custody at the same court after being released on bail on August 3. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85.

MANVEER SANDHU, 29, of Martin Close, Bicester, admitted to drink-driving on the A40 on August 9. He had 72mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mcg. He was fined £220 and must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.

JORDAN DOUGLAS BROOKS, 25, of Tamarisk Crescent, Carterton, admitted drug-driving on the A44 in Yarnton on November 8, 2019. He had 9.8mcg of cannabis per 1litre of blood, above the legal limit of 2mcg. He also admitted being in possession of cannabis, a class B drug, on the same day. He was fined £440 in total, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months and must forfeit the drugs to be destroyed.

JACK JARVIS, 32, of Abbott Road, Didcot, admitted to being in charge of a motor vehicle on The Green with 41mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of35mcg. He was fined £300, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. He was disqualified from driving for 28 months.

KIMBERLEY BASSETT, 32, of Jenkins Way, Abingdon, was convicted of speeding in a 30mph zone on the A4130 on March 2. She was fined £440, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £85. Her driving licence was also endorsed with four penalty points.

SALI DACI, 40, of Phipps Road, Oxford, admitted driving without third party insurance on Cowley Road and Newman Road on April 26 as well as driving without a licence. He was fined £453 in total, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

RACHEL JOYCE DAY, 38, of Fairfax Road, was convicted of driving without third party insurance on March 21 on Marcham Road in Abingdon. She was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85. Her driving licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.

THOMAS HEALY, 85, of Bergen Avenue, Abingdon, was convicted of driving without third party insurance on March 18 on Marcham Road, Abingdon. He was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was also endorsed with six points.

DAVID HUNT, 31, of Banbury Road, Kidlington, was convicted of driving at 50mph in a 40mph zone on the A41 in Bicester on March 8. He was fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was also endorsed with three points.
