A teenage girl was attacked by a woman as she walked on a bridge in Oxford.
It took place sometime between 1pm and 2pm on Sunday, as the girl was walking on the Blackbird Leys Bridge from Barns Road to Blackbird Leys Road.
She was repeatedly hit on the head and had minor injuries to her face and arms but did not need any medical treatment.
A man passing by helped the girl to her feet and the woman walked away.

The woman is described as white in her mid 30s, around 5ft 4in tall with an average build. She had long dark curly hair.
Investigating officer PC Samuel Booth, based at Cowley police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or was driving by at the time and might have caught the victim or offender on dash-cam footage, to please get in touch."
He added: “I am particularly interested in speaking to the man who stopped to help the victim.
“If you have any information, please make a report online or by calling 101 quoting reference 43200320075."
