A MAJOR road has been brought to a standstill after a serious crash happened last night.
Thames Valley Police is on the scene of the incident on the A40 between Oxford and Cassington where a truck and another vehicle collided around 9.52pm.
One eyewitness David Patchett, who lives in a nearby narrowboat, said he saw what looked like several family members badly seriously injured.

The road is currently closed in both directions while emergency services are at the scene and police carry out an investigation.
The A40 is likely to be shut until after the morning rush hour and drivers are urged to avoid the area and take an alternative route.
Highways teams will also be putting diversions in place.
Police alerted people of the closure at 2.26am on social media.
Mr Patchett, who also phoned emergency services about the crash, commented:"I was first on scene and I am still shaky now.

South Central Ambulance Service has been contacted about the incident.
