A CONSERVATIVE councillor withdrew his amendment to a motion put forward by his colleague about racism and inclusivity.
Councillor David Bartholomew scrapped almost all of Lib Dem councillor Alexandrine Kantor's motion calling for South Oxfordshire District Council to recognise injustices faced by Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) people.

At a meeting on Thursday he said his intention of simplifying the motion was 'widely misinterpreted' and that the reason for deleting words was because it was too long.
He decided to withdraw his amendment and the motion was passed.
