POLICE have launched an attempted murder investigation after a 54-year-old man was stabbed multiple times.
Officers raced to a property on Hawksmoor Road, near Summertown, at 10.45pm last night.
The man was taken to hospital where he remains. It is not yet known what condition he is in.
Another man, aged 59, from Oxford, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently being questioned by police.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector James Mather, of Oxford CID, said: “This incident has resulted in a man being stabbed a number of times, and he has been taken to hospital for treatment.
“I understand that people may be concerned to hear this news, but I would like to reassure them that we believe this is an isolated incident. We have made an arrest and we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this.
