A MAN was walking past the bank when somebody tried to pull off his backpack.
The man, who is in his thirties, was walking by Lloyds Bank on Oxford High Street just after 5.15pm on September 18 when it happened.
He fought back and the thug ran away down Cornmarket Street.

Nothing was stolen and he wasn't hurt.
Thames Valley Police have now released a CCTV image of the man officers would like to speak to after the attempted robbery.

Police staff investigator Joanne Reeve said: “I believe the man in this image may have vital information that could help our investigation.
“If you recognise this man, or believe it could be you, please get in touch.
“Likewise if you witnessed this incident or have any information, we would like to hear from you."
