A RECOVERED Covid patient sent luxury chocolate bars to the John Radcliffe Hospital staff who cared for them as a 'small token' to express their 'deep gratitude'.

A note with the sweet treats from the Chocolate Society, which were delivered to NHS workers on the John Warin Ward, said: "The professional skill, uncommon bravery, relentless commitment, unwavering good humour and the sunny smiles are a magic combination of which you can all be very proud."
They added: "It was an honour and a privilege. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."
