HUNDREDS of people turned out over the weekend to take part in the annual Burford Advent Fair.
The event, organised by the Burford Chamber of Trade, culminated with Father Christmas turning up to switch on the town lights - before leading a torchlit procession to St John the Baptist Church, in Church Lane, for a special Advent Service.
The Rev Richard Coombs, who organised the special service, said it was nice to see so many people turning out despite the wet weather.
He said: "It was a bit showery but it did nothing to dampen the spirits of people who turned out for the day.
"It was a fantastic day with people of all ages coming out to enjoy themselves and the torch lit procession was fantastic."
