A toddler was airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car.
A 22-month old boy was struck by a vehicle in Kings Court, Carterton, at 3.15pm yesterday.
The accident sparked a major police presence in the area last night.
Six police cars, forensics and an air ambulance were spotted at the mobile home site at the end of Sellwood Drive.
Eye-witnesses also saw a car being towed away.
South Central Ambulance Service have said that he was flown to the major trauma centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
He is in a serious, but stable condition.
The crash is investigated by the Roads Policing Unit and anybody with information should call 101 quoting 43200315749.
