CCTV images of a man officers would like to speak to following a robbery have been released.

The incident happened at around 3.15am on Sunday, September 27 when a man entered the Esso garage in Ermont Way, Banbury and demanded the cashier hand over money from the till.

The man, who was armed with a knife, then went behind the tills and took several packets of cigarettes from the cabinet.

He left the garage in the direction of Hennef Way roundabout.

Cash and cigarettes were stolen.

Investigating officer PC Abigail Sharman based at Banbury police station said: “I believe the man in this CCTV image may have vital information that could help our investigation.

“If you witnessed this incident or have any information, or if you recognise this man or believe it could be you, please get in touch.

“Likewise if you have any CCTV or dash-cam footage that shows anything from the area at the time that might help our investigation.
