A TEENAGER with eight convictions for 27 offences has been spared jail despite his part in a street robbery.
Luke Williams, 18, who was served with an Anti-social Behaviour Order 18 months ago, appeared at Oxford Crown Court today after admitting wounding, handling stolen goods and breaching his Asbo.
Lucy Tapper, prosecuting, said Williams punched and kicked Jimmy Wu, 21, in Banbury Road, Summertown, Oxford, in an attack last December. Mr Wu needed seven stitches in his face.
Co-defendant Jack Ulett-Titcombe, 18, of Herschel Crescent, Oxford, admitted stealing Mr Wu's wallet.
Jennifer Brady, defending, said Williams had been trouble-free since the street attack and had shown remorse.
Judge Christopher Compston ordered Williams to carry out 100 hours' unpaid work and pay £200 costs.
He said: "Next time you will go inside - not for months, but years."
Ulett-Titcombe was ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work and pay £200 costs.
