A ‘PROFESSIONAL criminal’ has been jailed after a crime spree around Oxford supermarkets.
Sophie Williams, of Falcon Close, Oxford, was caught stealing more than £150 worth of meat and other items.

At Oxford Magistrates’ Court on September 3 the 39-year-old admitted stealing:
• Meat, costing £64.55, from Tesco on Cowley Road on July 13
• £42 worth of items from Tesco on Cowley Road on August 9
• £50 worth of items from Sainsbury’s at the John Allen Centre on July 27
She was sent to prison for 12 weeks because the ‘offence is so serious and because the number and nature of the offences shows that she is operating as a professional criminal’.

The court documents also said she had a previous record of offending.
As well as being jailed she must also pay back £106.55 to Tesco and £50 to Sainsbury’s.
