MUSIC-loving patients at Oxford's community hospital enjoyed a special socially-distanced concert.
Gabriel Amherst and Noel Rainbird visited the ward on Friday to perform music ranging from work by French baroque composer Boismortier to American ragtime legend Scott Joplin.
The Oxford musicians are members of Oxford ensembles’ Instruments of Time and Truth and Oxford Bach Soloists.

The city's community hospital, which is run by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, is located at the Fulbrook Centre in the grounds of the Churchill Hospital and provides rehabilitation and palliative care for people who no longer need to be in a major hospital such as the John Radcliffe.
The performance was arranged by Angela Conlan, Oxford Health’s arts in health coordinator.
She said: “It was great to hear the ward reverberate to some beautifully played sounds and see the patients enjoy something a little different.
"I know that Gabriel and Noel enjoyed the performance too and I would like to thank them for taking the time to come along and play such a nice selection of pieces.”
