AN Oxford biotech company has won an international award for its 'innovative' needle-free vaccine.
Enesi Pharma has been developing a method of delivering a solid dose of a vaccine for a range of infectious diseases, which uses a device to implant it 2mm below the skin.

It has the advantage of being easier to transport, requiring little training, and reducing the risk of cross-infection, all while having the same potency as a traditional liquid vaccine.
It won Best New Vaccine Technology/Platform at the World Vaccine Congress.
